1st time hopefully the last

I'm a first timer with gout and I wonder if moscato caused it. I tried it for the first time on my birthday and a few days later I had gout. Happy birthday!!
After the swelling goes down does it look normal again? Thanks for your story

moscato & Gout
by: Peter

Hi 1st time gout sufferer. Possibly moscato caused your gout, but you would have to of had a lot. This is a light wine, and not full of purines.
Perhaps you had this wine in a combination of other gout causing food such as shellfish, red meat, lots of Tomatoes? This would certainly help a gout attack come on. Or perhaps you were dehydrated and then alcohol can certainly start a gout attack.

I would not think that this wine alone would cause your gout to flare up.
Look at your diet first, as this is where most gout attacks fester from.
