Always file a claim
by: Anonymous

I say always file a claim.
Just because you may think It may not be covered doesn't mean it isn't. Don't be the judge.
File the claim and then when they deny it, file and appeal. Never give up. Take it as for as it will go. Good luck and keep fighting.
PS>>>You may want to get in tough with someone from the DAV>> Disabled American Veterans They are very helpfull

gout
by: Ansanusamu

Gout is caused when kidneys fail to clear out uric acid. Oxidative stress caused this disease. When agent orange screw up you aparatus to filter toxin and uric acid results in uric acid crystals. I don't accept this bs from the VA and its doctors, The main apparatus is your brain. When those brain cells dead by toxi-agent orange you damn sure be a vegetable.

Agent orange at the DMZ and gout
by: Anonymous

They used agent orange at the DMZ to clear out all the shrubs, Diabetes is on the list of presumptives, gout however is not and is considered a diet issue, all korean and Vietnam vets need to get on the Agent Orange registry so all medical issues can be reviewed and updated.

Korean war and Gout
by: Peter

Dear Johnny,
I am not able to give any legal advice what so ever.
Proving your condition was caused by the war would be very hard to do.
You are over 60 hence who is to say you didnt get all of these issues due to diet, lifestyle, family history of Diabetes or gout or arthritis.

I would speak to a lawyer first, and get advice before doing anything further.

sorry I cannot help further.

AO and KOREA DMZ VETS
by: Johnny Bittle

I served on the DMZ in Korea in 1971, so I know AO exposure isn't an issue. I have chronic gouty arthritis with multiple flare-up per year. I tried all the meds and none work, one hip has been replaced twice and need the other done. My concern is will the VA just blow this off as I am in my mid 60s, however I also have the type II diabetes. My question is should I file a Claim?
