Can stress trigger gout.

My first gout attack was on the day I got laid off after 17 years of working. Three years later, a second attack occurred when I was upset with my wife's free spending while we were in financial stress. My case, I don't believe it's generic. None of my families (parents, siblings, cousins on both sides of my parents) have experienced gout. I'm the first. I believe mine caused by stress.
