Gout and Operations

I am a 63 year old male and since a car accident which I did not ask for being hit in the rear by a policeman while I was at a red light resulted in many surgeries and last week Monday 12/14/09 I had my 14th surgery a 3 hour one, and today 12/22/09 I just had another attack of gout in my right ankle and under my right foot always the same one. I now realize that stress and gout are tied together. 3 hour operation last week and Gout attack this week. Now I know when it comes and it comes from stress.
