Gout caused by eggnog

I used to get gout flare up when I was in my thirties. They occurred every Christmas time. I would get knees so painful that I could not walk.
After some thought and reasoning why this only happened at Xmas time I realized it was from drinking eggnog. No more eggnog and results were no more gout.
