I recently experienced my first full blown gout attack, was looking on the internet for more info and came across Gout-Aware.com...Very nice site packed full of gout info and research. In my case I brought the gout on myself by drinking a lot more beer (stouts and dark ales) than usual and eating those sausage, egg, cheese breakfast muffins every morning when I did not usually eat breakfast. I never thought of or read the possible connection of eggs and gout until seeing it on Gout-Aware.com...Would like to mention I'm trying the water/salt cure protocol for gout from watercures.org and using the Makai PureĀ® Deep Sea Salt (which has an alkalizing pH of 10.22) from selinanaturally.com...Basically, the protocol is taking a pinch of raw/unprocessed/natural salt, let it dissolve in mouth/under tongue then drink a copious amount of good quality water 5 to 6 times a day...I was wondering what your take on this would be?

I had not had gout in years. While on vacation, we bought some multigrain bread. Within a couple of days I had an attack of gout in toes on right foot.
