I can definitely relate that stress is causing my gout. I do not eat high purine levels of foods and I am not a drinker. I drink plenty of water, but I have a weight gain, hair fallining out, stressful jobs (2) and I also have sleep apnea which adds to stress. I do not have flairs much but when I do I can relate them to times I have been stressed like now. I just lost a student at school and also a close friwend in one week, along with running a business ( a big one) and teaching school for special education kids I am stressed. I just had a flair today but not as big as some I have had before and it has been a year since my last one (my mom died). Yes stress is a factor. My brother also suffered some bouts and he is highly stressed as well.
Any help is appreciated.
