Baking Soda helps Gout

by John
(Victoria Canada)

I have found Baking Soda very effective in relieving the pain of Gout and reducing the time taken for it to subside.
When the gout starts I immediately take 1 teaspoonful in water. Then 1 teaspoonful before going to bed and another first thing in the morning. After this I take about 1/2 teaspoonful with Water and Black cherry juice every 4 hours or so.
I also take 25mg Indomethacin 4 times a day, eat lots of celery, drink lots of water and basically go on a vegan diet until the attack is over.

I am 67 years old, slim 165lb and do lots of excercise.
