TOM B.

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ON BAKING SODA. I PUT A PINCH IN A 20 OZ WATER BOTTLE ONCE A DAY AND AS THAT MAY BE VERY LOW DOSE, I'M TRYING TO SLOWLY CHANGE MY PH TO 7.3 ALKALINE. I HEARD MANY DOCTORS RAVE ABOUT IT. TELL ME IF MY DOSE IS TOO HIGH FOR BP 190 OVER 90. AND TELL ME OF THE SIDE EFFECTS OF CHLORTHALADONE AND ATTENALOL 50/50, 25 MG CUT IN HALF PER DAY. THAT WAS MY LAST DOSAGE TWO YEARS AGO. NO SIDE EFFECTS, SEEMED TO WORK. I'M OPOS BLOOD, MAYBE SOMEONE CAN INTRO ME TO SOMETHING FAR BETTER BEFORE I GO TO THE VA ON FRIDAY. IM GETTING MORE HELP AT THIS SITE THAN ALL OTHERS COMBINED. THANKS FOR THE TRUTH. EMAIL ME ANYTIME. TOM B.

Now You also asked about atenolol (Tenormin®) side effects.
Here we go - potential shortness of breath, coldness of the body, tingles in the hands and feet, numbness of hands and feet, tiredness, low blood pressure, headaches, dizziness, sudden weight gain, pains in the chest, and heart beat irregularities, depression, fatigue, leg swelling, if you suffer from asthma then you may experience increased attacks, confusion, increased dreaming, rashes, hives and problems swallowing.

Not nice side effects at all. But you may not get any of these side effects or they may only be for long term use side effects.

You may also want to consider speaking to a herbalist / nutritionalist of some other form of health practitioner about Blood pressure options. There are also potential underlying reasons why you have high blood pressure which need to be looked at, such as stress, early kidney disease, hormonal disorders, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, or your dietary intake and lifestyle could be a factor. Do you drink too much, smoke cigarettes, eat too much salt, do not exercise?I have had high blood pressure due to huge amounts of stress in my life before.

I think you should make out a list of questions to ask the doctor and if you do not like the doctor change doctors or get a second opinion.
My wife in her studies has found that nearly 90% or patients forget most of what their doctors tell them during their visits. It may be worth while having a family member of friend go with you when you get the next check up.
Every 6 months I get a full blood check for all uric acid levels, blood sugars, cholesterol, cancer markers, liver function etc. This is always a good monitor of your body and the organ functions.

I hope this helps.

Hi Tom,

First of all I am not a doctor, I am only a gout sufferer. You MUST and I stress MUST speak to a doctor or better yet two doctors and get their official advice. I will do the best I can for you with your questions.

You must ask your doctor about your Blood Pressure and how to reduce it as this is a major cause of disease and sickness.
You asked about side effect of CHLORTHALADONE.
Well here they are so far, and remember all drugs are synthetic and they all will have side effects both short term and long term. But long term effects are the major ones to worry about.
Chlorthalidone (Thalitone®) is a diuretic, so it will increase salt and water levels that are to be removed by the body. This drug treats High blood pressure, water retention due to heart failure, kidney failure and effects of other medications, so it is strong. It is also called or labelled as a "water pill". Now this water pill increases the amount of water to be removed from the blood, hence it decreases blood volume.
The official site of Chlorthalidone (Thalitone®) states that there are minor if any occurring side effects, but you must keep an eye on all symptoms I list below for any changes.
Stomach irritations,loss of appetite, vomiting,diarrhea,constipation,dizziness,headaches,dizziness,
vertigo, sun sensitivity and even impotence. We keep going - potential dehydration by having a dry mouth, constant thirst, lethargy, drowsiness, muscle pain and cramps, fainting spells, decreased urination, heart rythm increased and or decreased, yellowness of skin colour, yellowness of the whites of the eyes, high blood sugar, unexplained rashes, itching, hives, swelling, breathing problems just to name a few. YOU MUST note any of these changes and inform your doctor immediately.

Blood Pressure
by: Francisco

Hi Tom.
A blood pressure of 190/90 is very high, MD said
it should be 120/70, so I had to stop the baking soda and replaced with tart cherry capsules.
Just stop eating what we should not even look at,
and that will start bringing the pH to more normal levels, plus eat lots of the stuff we need to eat.
The bread should be gluten free, I got 5 pounds of
brown rice flour, 5 of sorghum, and 5 of quinoa, all gluten free, mix them and the pankakes come out very good, no side effects.
Yess loosing every extra pound will also help.
